Choosing the best hospital in Nagpur.

No hospital is best for every condition, and a page that tells you otherwise is selling. Here are eight checks that work for any hospital, and where Arihant stands on each.

  1. Is it accredited, and is the accreditation current?

In India the hospital quality mark to look for is NABH accreditation. It is awarded for a fixed period, so ask for the certificate and its dates, or look the hospital up on nabh.co.

At Arihant: Arihant is NABH-accredited. Its approach to quality is set out on the Why Arihant page.

  2. Is the specialist you need there, full time?

A doctor who visits for an hour a week cannot follow your recovery. Look for named specialists with their qualifications and experience on show, and ask whether they are full-time.

At Arihant: Arihant has 22+ full-time specialists, each with qualifications and experience on a profile page. Under its Full-Time Specialist System, the specialist you see in OPD is the one who follows your care.

  3. Is emergency care really open at every hour?

Call the emergency number before you ever need it and see whether a person answers. Ask whether a doctor is in the hospital at night, or only on call.

At Arihant: The emergency department and its phone line, 0712 665 6666, are open 24 × 7.

  4. Are the scans and tests done on the premises?

A hospital that has to send you elsewhere for a scan loses time you may not have. Ask which imaging and tests are done in the building, and when.

At Arihant: Tesla Imaging and Intervention is the hospital’s own radiology unit: a 3 Tesla MRI, multislice CT, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography, open 24 × 7. Eye care has its own unit, Arihant Netralaya.

  5. Does it treat the condition you have?

Size matters less than fit. Ask whether the hospital has a department, and doctors, for your specific condition, and how often it treats it.

At Arihant: Arihant has 45+ specialities, with centres of excellence in Cardiac Sciences, Neurosciences, Cancer Care and Oncology, Kidney Transplant and Nephrology, Liver Transplant and Biliary Sciences, Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement, Advanced Robotic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. The full list is on the departments page.

  6. Does it say what things cost?

Ask for an estimate in writing before you are admitted, with what it includes and what it does not. A hospital that publishes some prices is usually willing to discuss the rest.

At Arihant: Arihant publishes its health checkup prices: Basic ₹1,300 and Whole Body ₹5,600. For treatment, call 1800 210 0108 (toll-free) and ask for an estimate.

  7. What do patients say, in their own words?

Read recent reviews, not only the average, and look at what is said about waiting, communication and the nursing staff. Check the source: a review on a hospital's own site is not the same as one on a public listing.

At Arihant: Patients rate Arihant 4.8 out of 5 on Google, from 7,468+ reviews (November 2026). They are all on the hospital’s Google Maps listing, where anyone can read them.

  8. Can you reach it, and reach someone there?

Look at how long the journey is when you are unwell, and whether you can get a person on the phone, outside office hours too.

At Arihant: Arihant is at Baidyanath Sqr, opp. Capitol Heights, opp. VR Mall, Nagpur. OPD runs 9 AM to 8 PM, and you can ask for an appointment or a call-back at any hour. See the contact page for directions.

Every figure here comes from the hospital’s own pages or its public Google listing, and is dated where it can change. We have not compared Arihant with any other hospital, and we will not: the right one for you is the one that passes these checks for your condition.

Questions people ask.

Which is the best hospital in Nagpur?

No single hospital is the best for every condition, and no website can honestly name one. The best hospital for you has the right specialist, the right equipment and a 24 × 7 emergency department for your condition, is accredited, and is open about prices. Arihant Multispeciality Hospital is NABH-accredited and rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google by 7,468+ patients (November 2026); the checks on this page are how to compare it with any other hospital.

How do I check whether a hospital in Nagpur is NABH accredited?

Ask the hospital for its NABH certificate and check its validity date, or look the hospital up on the NABH website (nabh.co). Accreditation is given for a fixed period and has to be renewed, so a certificate on a wall is not enough: check that it is current.

How can I check that a doctor is properly registered?

Every doctor in India must be on the National Medical Register kept by the National Medical Commission (nmc.org.in), or on their state medical council's register. You can search by name there. Ask the hospital for the doctor's registration number, and be wary of a clinic that cannot give it.

What should I ask a hospital before an operation or admission?

Ask who will operate and whether they will also see you afterwards, what the estimated cost is and what it includes, in writing; what is not covered; how long you are likely to stay; which insurance or schemes the hospital accepts; and who to call at night if something goes wrong.

Is Arihant Hospital a good hospital?

Arihant Multispeciality Hospital is NABH-accredited, has 160+ beds, 45+ specialities and 22+ full-time specialists, and runs emergency care 24 × 7. Patients rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google, from 7,468+ reviews (November 2026). Read recent reviews on its Google listing yourself, rather than relying on the average alone.
