Interventional radiology
Interventional radiology treats through a pinhole, guided by live imaging, in place of an open operation. Tesla has a full interventional suite.

A pinhole in the wrist, the groin or the skin.
Local anaesthesia, usually as day care.
A quick recovery.
How it works
A radiologist passes a fine needle and tube through a pinhole, watching their progress on a live X-ray, ultrasound or CT screen. The tube can open a blocked artery, block a bleeding or feeding vessel, burn a tumour, or take a sample. There is no large cut, and recovery is quick.
